Your data belongs to you. Here is exactly what we collect, why we need it, and how we rigorously protect it.
We require your College ID and a Live Selfie strictly for a one-time manual verification to keep the campus network safe. Once your account is approved or rejected, these images are instantly and permanently deleted from our servers. We do not store your face or documents.
Your mobile number is your private identifier. It is completely hidden from the public feed. Your number is only shared securely with another verified student after both of you explicitly accept a connection request.
To operate the platform, we store minimal necessary data: your name, college/district assignment, profile picture (if uploaded), basic exchange history, and gender (this is collected solely to enable our Female-Only safety filter).
We use the campus location you select during registration to show you relevant local requests. We do not track your live GPS coordinates in the background or monitor your physical movements.
We have absolutely zero interest in selling your data. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party marketers, advertisers, or data brokers. CashMate is a closed-loop student ecosystem.
We use strictly essential browser cookies (session IDs) to keep you securely logged in. We also securely store a unique device token if you opt-in to Push Notifications, so we can alert you when a match is found.
